Drew Germaine
As Renegade MMA’s strength & conditioning coach, Drew is well immersed in writing, implementing and practicing his own programs. This fuels his fire as an avid BJJ competitor, and keeps him busy when he isn’t grappling.
Drew started martial arts at the tender age of 13 years when his Dad got him into boxing. A childhood love of laughing hysterically at 80’s martial arts films somehow got him from the backyard gym into a karate dojo, and it was here that he literally found his feet; winning numerous State and National titles as both a junior and adult competitor, and also fighting internationally in Japan.
At 34, Drew walked back onto BJJ mats, and has now won a range of BJJ tournaments and has a Pan Pacific title to his name. He is known around the gym as ferocious competitor with a solid guard, who passionately loves his club Renegade – as he is a part owner. A long time student of John Mirabella and Jamie Murray, Drew believes at 37 years old he hasn’t even remotely begun to fade yet, and is hungry for many more medals to put in the Renegade trophy cabinet.
A strength and conditioning specialist, Drew is a huge advocate of the ‘you reap what you sow’ when it comes to exercise and life in general. Big on kettlebells and radical new training techniques, he’ll get you where you need to be physically – but only if you truly want to get there.
Book in for a Strength & Conditioning session with Drew at Renegade. He’s there all the time, and would love to help you reach your maximum potential.
